Perhaps you can share a Unity game of similar scope that is not 2d, 2.5d, or 3d plane? These games are fine. I was educated and into games for a good few years, graphics and physics before I won some money. How can you make a statement without any supporting facts? It's been cleaned up and updated a lot over the years, but the basic framework is still there, and cripples the game with high part count vessels.Ī new developer, with more than 30 employees, all with years of game development experience of successful games, started to write KSP-2, mostly from scratch. They literally learned as they went, and the resulting mess was KSP. KSP is KSP because a couple of guys without any experience from an internet marketing company decided to write a game. I'm trying to make the point, that being an avid gamer does not give you any insight into game engines, game optimizations, game development, etc. Taking all into account, I'd say you are under 50 years old, but not by much.Ĭan you explain the differences between multi-threading and hyperthreading? Advantages and disadvantages of each? What are co-routines, and why are they different from threads? Which would make your birth year around 1970 or so. I'm going to make an assumption that since you started being an "Avid" gamer in the 80s, that you were maybe 12 years old when starting to game, and assume early 80's. How many years of experience do you have in the above mentioned areas?ĭo you really know where the bottlenecks are in KSP-2? That would be amazing, since the developers do not yet know the bottlenecks. Have you written a mod, for any game, not necessarily KSP? You are making some strong statements, do you have any background in computer science, programming, game development, mathematics, etc? Do you know what I mean? I totally understand a small team making massive games like Squad and I appreciate (only a percentage of) the skill, time, and effort that went into making it a reality.īut when a multi billion pound entity takes over the purse strings, I expect a little bit more.Įach to their own on that, I am just crestfallen I could get my grandmother to download unity and get some physics rendered within 24 hours. I would go further and say even with a top tier engine, it would need exceptional work to tune the engine to this scale and make it performant. They aren't anything close to what is needed to do this game justice. What am I missing? Same issue here, just another of a million bugs that make this otherwise great game so frustrating.I have just never played a well performing 3D rendered Unity game and I was an Avid gamer since the 80s. Now, my throttle goes to 0 on the little display in the lower left corner, but the actual engine won't shut off. I miss being able to hit the key for 0 throttle and being able to shut off my engine. I can manually "deactivate" the engine by right clicking, but sometimes this isn't ideal for fine control. Ixamyakxim: So I'm early on and having a few issues. I can hit the "Zero Throttle" key, and the throttle meter on screen will go to the bottom, by my ship won't actually turn off it's engine. But I'm having issues with my throttle keystrokes. I'm certainly properly staged, and using an engine that can be turned on / off. Now that I'm playing the game, this doesn't seem to be the case. I could head toward peri / apo and either go full throttle or 0 throttle at a moments notice and my engine would shut off / go to full power. In the tutorials, if I used my keystrokes to turn my thrust to 0 or MAX, my engines would promptly cut out. One of the big ones is that adjusting my thrust doesn't seem to effect my engines.

Aside from a few faint scratches in the clear coat, this guitar is clean as can be and a fantastic example of Guild's rarer and more unique models. The electronics work as intended, the compensated saddle has plenty of height, and in terms of cosmetic wear, there is sparingly little to report. On the headstock, the original Grover tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch reliably. The rosewood fretboard boasts dot inlay and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The mahogany neck has a medium C shape with a smooth gloss finish and original frets that retain their full factory height with zero wear. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Guild is dialed in with 12-53 strings and comfortable action. For a tone that retains the warmth and detail of an acoustic, yet with great feedback rejection and easy EQ shaping, the S4CE is a perfect companion and an instrument suited to a unique task. Of course where this guitar really shines is when plugged in via the Fishman preamp, notable for being the more modern (and infinitely more tweakable) four-band version. Guild acoustic guitars are also available with transducer only, i.e. The 2” body depth and 14” lower bout makes for a very comfortable playing experience indeed, and the instrument has a surprising amount of presence and bark when played acoustically. Round six (6) Defeat the wave without picking up weapons or looting corpses very simple just run around killing the enemies without picking a weapon up or with looting the corpses. Round five (5) Defeat the wave while only using the pistol and the hand cannon this wave is simple since the only enemy is the handyman, just keep attaching and un-attaching from the skyline and shot him with the hand cannon in the heart if possible. Round four (4) Defeat the wave while only using machine guns Just run around using the machine gun, it would be wise if you upgraded the damage before trying for it. Round three (3) Defeat the wave while only using sky-hook attacks and shotgun I recommend using the china boom stick shotgun over the heater you are allowed to use the sky attacks (lunges by pressing "A"). Round two (2) Defeat the wave while only taking shield damage just use the sniper and keep a good distance the entire time, stay in cover. All in all it is doable if you try enough times, but let's get to it! The Ops Zeal Round one (1) Beat the wave using only skyline attacks simple enough just keep attaching to the skyline and then sky attack the enemy by pressing "A" when prompted. The first Theater is easy compared to the others and some challenges are a joke compared to the ones that are ludicrous, but the theaters get harder from left to right. This achievement will be time consuming and frustrating at times. Do NOT quit if you have received any ribbons that you did not already have because you will have to redo it. This achievement is really agitating because if you fail a ribbon you have to work your way back up to that round from the beginning (round 1). You might want to begin your upgrades on your weapons whilst doing these challenges. Every time when you beat a wave you will enter a room that is an armory, to the right there is a door where you can buy an extra life but, be warned the price doubles each time and you can only buy three (once per a life) the prices are 500, 1000, then lastly 2000. Before even attempting this, I STRONGLY recommend upgrading all your Vigors and beating all the theaters so you will be stronger. There are a total of 60 ribbons and 15 in each theater. I suggest watching his videos on the rounds you may get stuck on, he has some amazing tips. EDIT: Banehowl on owns the videos for each individual challenge and his videos were broken down and shows the EASIEST way to do them. IF ANY LINKS ARE BROKEN (WHICH IS BOUND TO HAPPEN SINCE GOOGLE CHANGES YOUTUBE'S FORMAT OFTEN) PLEASE TELL ME VIA PERSONAL MESSAGE OR IN THE COMMENTS BELOW AND I WILL FIX IT A.S.A.P. the links are right below the description for each "arena." Sorry for any inconvenience to those who had no visual aid and hopefully this youtuber ( Banehowl) will keep his videos up for everyone to continue to use. The new videos are better and have a link that takes you to a playlist of each challenge for the "arena/theater" so that you may have a visual of what to do. The owner of the videos on youtube deleted his account so all of their videos are gone. *EDIT*: It has come to my attention that almost all the videos on this guide do not properly work anymore. If there are any questions just leave in the comments. I copied this from my xbox 360 guide I made a few years ago. This is partly due to the substantial financial and cultural costs involved in changing a measurement system compared to the potential benefit of using a standardized system. Although SI is used almost universally in science (including in the US), some countries such as the United States still use their own system of units. The International System of Units (SI) is the standard metric system that is currently used, and consists of seven SI base units of length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and amount of substance. Today, some of the systems of units in use include the metric system, the imperial system, and the United States customary units. As such, the development of more universal and consistent systems developed over time. While this may work on a local level, when considering trade, as well as science, having systems of units based on units that others may not be able to relate to or understand makes interaction difficult. In the past, many systems of measurement were defined on a local level, and could be based on factors as arbitrary as the length of a king's thumb. A unit of measurement is a defined magnitude of a quantity that it used as a standard for measurement for the same kind of quantity, such as measurements of length, weight, and volume. Historically, many different systems of units have been used, where a system of units is defined as a collection of units of measurement with rules that relate them to each other. Leave it on for hours if you want (I left it one overnight once and it wasn't "hot" or anything). Hey, no more pesky flat cell batteries at least. New answer: "How about a Behringer BTR-2000!" lol But how many times has our spouse asked, "Honey, I can't think of what to get you for your birthday?" We answer: "Doh! I can't think of anything either!" I use a piece of rubber yoga mat under it so it'll stay put and not marr my shelf.ĭoes it tune better than a Snark? No. It's flat and stands well on any flat surface-it just needs stick-on rubber feet. It is meant for a guitar rack, and as such does not have rubber feet on it. So, I keep it on a shelf right next to my practice area. It won t work across the room or something like that. When I tune, I must be (with acoustic ukulele) within about 3-4 feet of it. If there is one negative, I wish the built-in mic was more sensitive (or that I played my uke louder). Why I don t know.so it's not terribly annoying to look at that way. It's weird that, when I am playing a song, it bounces the lights up and down occasionally, but not for every note I play like you'd think. To use the metronome, it has to be plugged into an amp - although it has a built in microphone input, it doesn t seem to have a built-in speaker for the metronome. Not intended to be portable, it just sits there and does its thing. When I want to tune, I just turn slightly to look at the tuner, and tune! When I'm done practicing, I just turn it off until next time. With the Behringer, I just leave it on the entire time I'm practicing. I wanted no tiny batteries, and no "on and off" while I practiced-just leave it on. I, generally, play non-electric ukes, so I just wanted a tuner that was AC powered, highly visible, that doesn't attach to the headstock (I had a Koaloha once that was scratched on the headstock by a tuner, never again). It can also be used with a straight pass-through with guitar cables for electric ukes (see Amazon link above for photos of back to see many input and outputs). It's chromatic, so it tunes all instruments (I think), but actually has a setting for ukulele (and mandolin, etc.). One button power on and it's ready to tune. It has a built in microphone, so I just set it on a nearby shelf near an AC outlet, and nothing else. It's neat! It tunes well-it has two settings, one for a finer tune (where the lights indicate more "sensitivity", if you will), and a more regular sensotivity tuning, which is where I leave it. I sprung for the Behringer BTR2000 for about $80 on Amazon. Price must be low enough to justify, and it has to have a built-in microphone. For troubleshooting issues, take a look at the VirtualBox issue discussions in the WSL repo on GitHub. Learn more about VirtualBox's changes here and VMware's changes here. However, recently both VirtualBox and VMware have released versions that support Hyper-V and WSL2. Some 3rd party applications cannot work when Hyper-V is in use, which means they will not be able to run when WSL 2 is enabled, such as VMware and VirtualBox. WSL 2 Does WSL 2 use Hyper-V? Will it be available on Windows 10 Home and Windows 11 Home? You can also export a list of installed packages via apt with a command like so: dpkg -get-selections | grep -v deinstall | awk '' > package_list.txt and then reinstall those same packages on another machine with a command like sudo apt install -y $(cat package_list.txt) after transferring the file over. You can then copy these specific files over to your new machine and run tar -xzf to extract them. Use tar -czf to create a tarball of your files. If you don't have a lot of disk space you can use Linux techniques to move your files over: The implementation above requires a lot of disk space. Please see the commands doc for more information. You can then copy this file to another machine, and import it using wsl -import -vhd. The easiest way is to use the wsl -export -vhd command to export your WSL distribution to a VHD file. There are a few ways you can accomplish this task: How can I transfer my WSL files from one machine to another? There are other smaller differences compared to bare metal Linux and more differences are expected to arise in the future as the inner loop development workflow is prioritized. This setup is different than a traditional Linux set up. GPU access in WSL happens through a /dev/dxg device, which routes GPU calls out to the Windows GPU.The Linux kernel used by WSL is updated automatically.WSL can run Windows executables from Linux, which could also lead to a different environment than a traditional Linux VM.Windows paths are appended to your path by default, which could cause unexpected behavior for certain Linux applications compared to a traditional Linux environment.WSL automatically gives file access to Windows files. The lifetime of the VM, the registered WSL distributions, etc., are all accessible by the user and can be modified by the user.

Merchandising and licensing deals will boost revenues in future but are unlikely to affect this year's figures.
